About Cindy

Cindy Cornelsen is a seasoned professional laugh maker from Chicago, via Oklahoma and recently New York. Her life experiences have taught her about the funny nature of the human condition. She has spent hours trying to reconcile her conservative upbringing with her liberal sensibilities. Over the years she has been seen on The History Channel's "Surviving the Holidays with Lewis Black", Comcast's "Open Mic", and Comedy Time TV. She has appeared on Sirius Radio's Raw Dog channel and She has performed in some of the country's top venues in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and over 15 states. Whether she's performing for 4, 40, 400 or 4,000 people, Cindy is guaranteed to knock your socks off!

She has become quite well known for her original comedic songs and the dark, intelligent point of view in her stand up sets. A trained actress with an operatic singing voice, Cindy takes her audience for an ethereal musical-theater ride, roving from childhood awkwardness to politics and eventually bouncing into the misadventures of modern co-ed encounters. Cindy studied Improv and Sketch Writing at the Second City, and was a core writer of the sketch revue "Someone Get A Grownup" which premiered at Donny's Skybox Theatre. Cindy lives in a spacious mansion.
